| Breaking News |  | Monday, April 14th, 2008: Claussen on Fire, Named Player of the Week Wade Claussen of the Colorado Springs Sky Sox had a fantastic week and today was voted the Player of the Week by the Northern League.
For the week Claussen batted .533 (16-30) with 1 home run and 4 RBIs.
|  | Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008: Horton 5-6 Against Sacramento James Horton really did a number on the River Cats in the Colorado Springs 5-4 victory. Not just anyone can get 5 hits in 6 at-bats. But James Horton did just that today for the Sky Sox and gave his batting average a healthy boost and sparked his club in the win.
"I felt real good in the batter's box today. I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done," the 19-year-old shortstop said after his record-setting performance.
J. Horton singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 7th, struck out in the 9th and singled in the 12th.
|  | Wednesday, August 15th, 2007: Oklahoma Shuts Out Sky Sox, Calderon Winner Javy Calderon of the Oklahoma RedHawks was in command from start to finish in his 3-0 shutout win over the Colorado Springs Sky Sox. He struck out 14, walked 2 and allowed 6 hits.
"I felt strong the entire game," Calderon said. "I felt like I had my good stuff. It was just one of those games when everything was working."
